Think it through, on the record, before you act.
Most financial mistakes are not analysis errors. They are decisions made fast, in the wrong state of mind, without writing down what would prove them wrong. A Decision Room is the ten minutes that fixes that — for a trade, an investment, a broker choice, a paid product or a portfolio change.
Ten parts, in order
The room does not evaluate your idea and never tells you what to do. It makes sure you did the thinking, then keeps the record.
Setup and risk
For trades, the numbers from Trade Before You Trade: entry, stop, target, risk amount, size, reward-to-risk after costs.
Your history
Your own journal in this instrument and market: trades, win rate, net R, how often you followed the plan, your last lessons.
Headlines and events
ZenithFX coverage around the instrument at the moment you opened the room, and the scheduled events you list for the holding window.
Thesis
What has to be true for this to work. Two sentences minimum; if you cannot write it, you do not have it yet.
Counterargument
The strongest honest case against, written as a sceptical colleague would write it.
What would prove me wrong?
A level, an event, a date, a fact — the invalidation you commit to before, not after.
Personal rules
Your checklist, editable. Sizing from risk, calendar checked, history read, not chasing, can wait.
State of mind
Calm, anxious, after a loss, excited… recorded, not judged. The review later shows whether it mattered.
The pause
A deliberate delay you choose — five minutes to a day — that runs on the server. Skipping it is allowed, and recorded.
Decision, then outcome
Proceed, wait or pass — with a note to your future self. Weeks later, what actually happened, next to what you wrote. That comparison is where judgement improves.

The same structure, for the decision in front of you
- Trade
- A single position you are about to open.
- Investment
- A longer-term allocation to a stock, fund, bond or asset.
- Choosing a broker or platform
- Opening an account with a broker, exchange, prop firm or platform.
- Evaluating a financial product
- A structured product, fund, course, signal service, insurance or any paid financial product.
- Major portfolio decision
- Rebalancing, concentration, leverage, a large withdrawal or a change of strategy.
